3D scan and WMS: how CHUNHUA unmanned cranes pick without a rider

Scan the load, lock the clamp, write the warehouse job — the same control idea on coil, cathode stack and hopper cells.

An unmanned overhead crane is not a hoist with the cab deleted. It is a scan, a clamp with feedback, and a warehouse job that already knows the next saddle. That stack is what we put on Mingtai coils, Jiangxi Copper stacks and the Hohhot hopper cell.

Three pieces

The scan finds coordinates before the clamp opens. The clamp reports lock before travel. WMS owns inbound and outbound so two conveyors can swap roles without a programmer on the floor. Occupancy check before set-down — if the saddle is full, the crane stops and alarms. Positioning on the coil cells stays inside ±20 mm.

Where it already runs

Mingtai unloading and annealing, Jiangxi Copper loading, Hohhot hopper transfer. The mill-relining path is a different machine — JXS liner exchange — but the same rule: operators stay off the load.
