Jiangsu Jinling Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute contracted two unmanned overhead cranes for a cell in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. The duty is mixing and transfer of energetic materials in an area people are not supposed to enter.
The layout uses an intelligent gantry, a vision system on the trolley, and a hopper-specific grab. Hoppers move between an automated transfer vehicle, floor stations and a horizontal trolley. Safety light curtains close the perimeter of the bay. The point of the cell is that the crane does the lift inside the fence — the mixing duty stays unmanned.
