JXS-3000 first full reline at a 28-foot gold SAG mill

Commissioned in May. Production sign-off four hours after shutdown end — a new site record for the operator.

Sign-off +4 hours

The JXS-3000 at this Western Australian gold operation finished its first full reline with production sign-off four hours after the shutdown was declared complete — a new site record. The machine had been commissioned in May. June was the first time the mill asked it to do the whole liner path, not a trial panel.

A 28-foot SAG does not need a 6 T handler. It needs a machine that fits the trunnion, clears the feed chute, and still has authority on a liner that is heavy enough to hurt someone. The 3000 was sized for that, not for a brochure maximum.

How the first reline ran

Crews had already used the pendant on a supervised trial. On the production reline they ran remote from outside the mill for pick-up through bolt-in. Bolt rams on the same shutdown were MC series units already on site. The handler did not wait on a new hydraulic package — it joined a kit the mill already trusted.

“We used to lose the last hours of a reline to fatigue and to liners that needed a second shove. The 3000 took both of those off the clock.”

Australia as a working market

Western Australia is not a demonstration tour. It is a mill calendar. The JXS-3000’s first full reline is the point we care about — not the day it came off the truck. For a 28-foot class mill, start with the JXS range, or send the mill drawing.
