Hubei Yadong Cement sits in Wuhan’s Yangluo Economic Development Zone. It is part of Asia Cement, itself part of Taiwan’s Far East Group — a cement producer with plants in Taiwan, Jiangxi, Hubei and Sichuan and about 10 million tonnes a year of clinker and cement under the ‘Western House’ brand.
The mill needed a way to move heavy-metal contaminated soil without a crew in the pit. CHUNHUA supplied one QZ20/3t-18.75mA8 intelligent grab crane with a hydraulic multi-jaw grab.
The cycle
Dispatch sends the crane to a marked pile with the grab open. The grab drops, closes, and the crane carries the soil to a designated pit on the work deck. Repeat. With the grab and travel working together the cell is rated at 200 tonnes an hour.
This is grab duty, not coil duty: the same unmanned-crane control path, a different tool on the hook, sized for a cement works that also burns fly ash from the neighbouring Yangluo power plant.
